Finally, CAG office has issued directions to call back all members of staff from out audit immediately. All the field offices have issued circular directing their staff to return to respective headquarters or to stay back in their home doing completed audit works at home and transfer electronically to their headquarters. Thanks to CAG administration. Much thanks to Shri. Jaishankar, Addl. Secretary General, NAF who personally handed over the letter to CAG secretariat and met officials there. He was behind this for the last three days.
Yesterday, DoPT has also issued directions to prevent spreading of COVID19 further. We have today submitted a letter to the Honble Prime Minister, Health Minister and Minister for State (DoPT) requesting to grant quarantine leave as many of the staff members may not be having sufficient leave at their credit. I hope this will also be accepted by the Government and orders will be issued soon. We have also requested to consider closing down of government offices till 31 March and also granting of Commuted leave without insisting on medical certificates.
